Power button problems....
Maybe the power button (including the wiring) is malfunctioning and causing some funny effects? I have tried turning all power button/power management settings on and off in the BIOS. This makes no difference. I have also tried clearing the CMOS and removing the battery. No change. Obvious things like all power
